How to Root Galaxy Note 2 SPH-L900 Running Android 4.3 Jelly Bean through Odin:

  1. Download CF-Auto-Root for Galaxy Note 2 L900 and extract the Zip file: CF-Auto-Root-t0ltespr-t0ltespr-sphl900.zip
  2. Download Odin 3.07 and extract the Zip file: Odin
  3. Now, Switch off your phone and boot Galaxy Note 2 L900 into Download Mode by pressing and holding the Volume Down+Home+Power buttons together (long press until the boot screen appear), now press Volume Up key to proceed to Download Mode.
  4. Run the Odin3 v3.07.exe file as an administrator (Right click on the .exe file and click on Run as administrator)
  5. Now connect your Galaxy Note 2 L900 to your computer via USB cable
  6. In Odin3 screen, you should see a COM Port number like “0:[COM7]” at ID:COM section and “Added!” text at the message box. This means your device has been detected by Odin3.
  7. Make sure that, only the “Auto Reboot” and “F. Reset Time” options are checked.
  8. Now, click on the PDA button and select the CF-Auto-Root-t0ltespr-t0ltespr-sphl900.tar.md5 file.
  9. Finally, click on the Start button to begin the rooting process, wait few moments.
  10. Once completed, you would see “PASS!” message in ID:COM port having green background
  11. Your phone should automatically reboot after completion
  12. You can now disconnect your phone from computer

  3. Im about to try to root The instruction are very well explained and detailed...Im just worried if the KNOX will be tripped or cause any kind of problem by using this root method... Guess its always a gamble...

  5. For those that have the error that says SuperSU has stop working because it attempts to access restricted area or something like that. Here's how to fix it.

    Goto Google Playstore and do a search for SuperSU by chainfire. The one that we flashed by following this guide is older and you need to update that app to newer version. After that, tap to open it and a menu pops up. You have 5 seconds to tap YES or AGREE to let SuperSU to disable KNOX. I think 5seconds is long enough but if you are not fast enough, launch the app again; if it doesn't work, reboot and launch the app again. You should have root.

    Now download/install Titanium Backup ★ root from Playstore and remove any bloatware you have on your phone. Remember, do a backup before uninstall anything unless you are sure that you don't want that app in your phone.
